Professor Helmut Friess is a Doctor of Science and has more than 30 years of experience. He is a surgeon and head of the department at the University of Technology in Munich and Bern.
Helmut Friss specializes in surgical treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (esophagus, stomach, rectum), cancer of the pancreas, thyroid and parathyroid glands, as well as laparoscopic operations.
Currently, Helmut Friss heads the surgical clinic Rechts der Isar at the Technical High School of Munich. At its beginning, operations of the highest level are performed on the stomach, liver, esophagus and pancreas. A mixed approach is successfully used to treat cancer: first, chemotherapy and radiation, as a result of which the tumor grows more slowly and shrinks, and then surgery. This approach provides a very high probability of complete recovery, especially for esophageal cancer and aggressive gastric carcinoma.
Helmut Friss is a professor at the Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology named after R.E. Kavetsky National Academy of Ukraine.
Without a doubt, Helmut Friess made a huge contribution to the development of progressive medicine thanks to his high qualifications, professionalism and dedication to his work.
