Professor Reinke is an outstanding specialist in endocrinology. He is also an active researcher in this area and is the author of more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and more than 50 textbooks.
Prof. Dr. Reinke is a member of numerous German and international specialized societies and the editorial committees of various specialized endocrinology journals.
Prof. Dr. med. Martin Reinke studied medicine in Heidelberg and Cologne, passed the state exam in Cologne and received a license to practice medicine there in 1985.
From 1985 to 1990 he worked as a research assistant at the University Hospital II, Cologne Merheim.
In 1992–1996 prof. Reinke worked as a scientific assistant at the Medical University Hospital of Würzburg, and on January 12, 1994 received a license as a general practitioner.
In 1995, he received a habilitated doctorate and permission to teach internal medicine at a higher school. In the same year, he received the position of senior endocrinologist.
In 1996, Martin Reinke became a professor at the Medical Clinic II of the University of Cologne.
From 1998 to 2004, he headed the endocrinology/diabetology department of the 2nd Department of Internal Medicine at the University Hospital of the University of Freiburg. Albert and Ludwig. In 1998 he was recognized as a diabetologist by the German Diabetes Society.
Since February 2004, Dr. Reinke has been the head of the Innenstadt Medical Clinic of the University Hospital of Munich. Since 2006, he has held the position of Dean of the Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine of the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
