Professor Maner is Director of the Clinic and Outpatient Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics at the LMU Clinic in Munich and was appointed to the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Ludwig Maximilian University in 2015.

After completing his studies at the University of Heidelberg and numerous trips abroad, including Boston, New York and Zurich, he received specialized training at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf, where he served as clinical director until he moved to Munich.

His clinical and scientific activities are the treatment of gynecological cancer. As a member and leader of numerous specialized societies and research groups, Professor Maner is primarily involved in clinical research as well as translational and molecular projects. He is particularly interested in the biology of ovarian and vulvar cancers and the development of targeted therapies. He is the author of more than 300 original publications and scientific articles in national and international journals (H-index 48).
