MIBRAR® for Arthrosis — Cartilage Regeneration Without Surgery

Arthrosis is a chronic degenerative joint disease involving gradual destruction of cartilage tissue. Traditional medicine offers painkillers, injections, and, in advanced stages, joint replacement. MIBRAR® technology offers a fundamentally different approach — triggering natural cartilage regeneration using the patient's own stem cells.

What is arthrosis and why cartilage doesn't regenerate

Cartilage tissue has no blood vessels or nerves of its own. It receives nutrition only through synovial fluid, making it extremely vulnerable. In arthrosis, the balance between cartilage destruction and restoration is disrupted:

  • Stage 1 — cartilage thins, micro-cracks appear. Episodic pain
  • Stage 2 — significant cartilage damage, osteophytes form. Constant pain
  • Stage 3 — cartilage nearly absent, bone-on-bone contact. Severe deformity
  • Stage 4 — complete joint destruction, ankylosis

Traditional methods (NSAIDs, corticosteroids, hyaluronic acid) do not restore cartilage — they only reduce symptoms. PRP therapy provides short-term effects. Only MIBRAR® ensures real cartilage tissue regeneration.

How MIBRAR® treats arthrosis

MIBRAR® (Micro-Invasive Biological Regenerative Autologous Reconstruction) is Prof. Babayan's patented technique using ARK® concentrate from the patient's own cells:

  • CD34+ stem cells from blood — can differentiate into chondrocytes (cartilage cells)
  • Mesenchymal stem cells from adipose tissue — form scaffolding for new cartilage
  • Growth factors — stimulate cell division and new vessel formation
  • Cytokines — suppress inflammation and create optimal regeneration environment

Indications: which types of arthrosis

  • Gonarthrosis — knee joint arthrosis (most common indication)
  • Coxarthrosis — hip joint arthrosis
  • Omarthrosis — shoulder joint arthrosis
  • Ankle arthrosis
  • Elbow arthrosis
  • Facet joint arthrosis of the spine

MIBRAR® is effective for stages 1–3 arthrosis. Even at stage 3, when joint replacement is typically recommended, MIBRAR® can stop destruction and trigger cartilage restoration.

Procedure and results

The MIBRAR® procedure is performed on an outpatient basis in one day. Blood draw, adipose tissue micro-liposuction, ARK® preparation, and ultrasound-guided injection into the joint. The patient can walk immediately after.

  • Pain reduction — from the first days
  • Cartilage regeneration visible on MRI — 3–6 months
  • Up to 85% overall improvement — by 8–16 weeks

MIBRAR® vs joint replacement

Joint replacement is a major surgery with general anesthesia, hospitalization, and lengthy rehabilitation. MIBRAR® allows you to avoid joint replacement in many cases while preserving your own joint.
